A decade ago, the bakery wanted to move from bagged packaging to flow wrapping to improve product presentation, protection and consistency while using printed film.

The Solution

FDA Packaging supplied a FLEXWRAP flow wrapper fitted with a print registration system. The system detects eye marks on the printed film and automatically positions the cut, ensuring logos and product information appear correctly on every pack.

More than 10 years later, the same machine is still wrapping plum loaves on a regular basis. The machine continues to run reliably with minimal maintenance, simple operation and no FDA engineer call-outs.
