Our latest installation in the beautiful country of Wales

Welsh food specialists, Blas ar fwyd, approached us while we were exhibiting at this year’s NEC FOODEX event in Birmingham. They showed a keen interest in our flow-wrapping machine called the FLEXWRAP and we went on to illustrate just why it has been a great success for the bakery industry. A few months later, we received a delegation from Blas ar fwyd at our Norwich workshop to trial wrap a wide range of their products. After a satisfactory packaging test, we discussed further details over a cuppa and were pleased to take their order for one of our unique machines to be installed at their premises.

Our early bird engineer, Craig, drove down to Wales to install the FLEXWRAP machine and also to train the Blas ar fwyd staff. We take pride in our customer service and our training is designed so that everyone feels confident and comfortable operating the machine. In short, we don’t leave until everyone is happy!

The team at Blas ar fwyd told us that they will be concentrating on big production runs which involves wrapping thousands of items such as rocky road bars, brownies and flapjacks. Their other products include Eccles cakes, sponge cakes, scones and of course, Welsh cakes!

A family run business since 1988, Blas ar fwyd sells fine food and wine from Wales and across the world. They have a range of shops, a restaurant and offer event catering, as well as meeting the demands of wholesale traders in Wales. Their delicatessen offers produce which comes directly from producers or is imported especially. The team are rightfully proud of their range of Welsh produce, unusual foods, European specialities, artisan & fine wines, traditionally made sweets and cakes.
