The Metallic Wool Company bought their first flow-wrap packaging machine from FDA in 2002 followed by a second in 2006. We're happy to say that both machines are still used in full production every day!

Originally supplied in 2007 and followed by a second in 2013, our machines are used to wrap a variety of products which differ greatly in size – from small nail brushes to long broom handles!
One of their popular creations are the small but beautiful baby sponge cakes. These need to be individually, hygienically wrapped so they can be boxed and delivered directly to customers – and our unique Flexwrap machine provided the perfect solution!
A recent project saw FDA Packaging supplying and installing a FLEXWRAP machine, specifically for wrapping fruit which would be sold in Asda stores. The fruit 'snack packs' are selling well because they are ideal for 'on the go' eating and also including in lunch boxes and school bags.
